Welcome to the Goals to Action Blog!
My name is Rodger Constandse and I’m the owner of Effexis Software, a business located in San Diego, California.
Background
I am passionate about goal setting, productivity, and time management; in fact, I’ve been very interested in these subjects for a long time. The Achieve Planner software that I designed and developed is one of the results of this passion.
I’m proud of Achieve Planner, and I’m also happy to say that it has helped a lot of people get organized, become more productive, and get things done.
I know Achieve Planner has helped people because I get unsolicited testimonials from users telling me how much they like it and how it has made a positive difference in their lives.
I’ve come to realize that the disconnect between time management and goal setting is a very common problem. It’s very easy to get so bogged down in the details of our daily actions, that we forget about all that “goal setting stuff” that is also very important.
After many months of research and development, I’ve gotten much clearer on how to make this work; how to connect our daily actions with our mission, vision, and goals in a practical way.
The new system that I’ve been practicing and perfecting works much better for me than what I was using before. It is now mature enough that I can begin incorporating it into Achieve Planner over the coming months.
I’ve also realized that I want to share this system and the ideas behind it, beyond just including it in the software.
The first step was to reexamine the direction and vision for my business; to see how the Goals to Action concept would fit in with everything else that I’m doing.
I happily discovered that Achieve Planner is just one piece of the puzzle, but a piece that falls nicely into place with the whole idea of going from goals to action.
About This Blog
My vision for this blog is to provide interesting and valuable articles related to goal setting, goal achievement, productivity, time management, Getting Things Done (GTD) and personal development. I’ll also talk about the Goals to Action system and Achieve Planner when relevant.
There will be a mix of short, practical “tip” style articles, commentary, and longer articles that delve into a particular topic in more depth.
My hope is that you will provide me with feedback about what you like and don’t like about these ideas, and whether you find them helpful - or not.
I’ll be moving some of the previous articles I’ve written from another blog and newsletter over the next few weeks, so you may see some repetition.
I expect to write or contribute to many of the articles myself, but you will also see some written by others from time to time.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a great day!

Warmly,
Rodger Constandse
